What is Life Christian University?
Life Christian University has been proclaiming the life-transforming power of God’s Word for just over 15 years. Founded in 1995 by Dr. Douglas Wingate, Life Christian University has endeavored to provide the highest quality ministry education possible to ministry students throughout the world. One of the fastest growing Christian universities in the country, Life Christian University is known for making theology come alive by focusing on the practical applications of Scripture. LCU believes in the whole counsel of God’s Word and that each individual Christian should be spiritually equipped for complete victory in their own life before launching into ministering to others. We have chosen to be accredited through Transworld Accrediting Commission International.
When are Courses Offered?
Students studying at our Victory Church Campus will attend classes just one evening per week for three hours of study, taking only one concentrated course (over 4 weeks) at a time. Students will enjoy faith -filled, stimulating academic environment of live classes. The additional work required for the course, such as reading the textbooks and writing research papers as required, the student does at home on their own time, allowing minimum disruption of the student’s family time.
Rather than have students carry a course load of different subjects through the whole semester, they will simply take one subject at ta time. This method accomplished two things:
- Each student gets to concentrate on one subject at a time
- Students may enroll at the beginning of any new course, every four weeks, not just at the beginning of the semester.
Students continue to accumulate credits, generally completing 30 semester hours of credit each year. At this rate, it would take 4 years to accumulate 120 hours of credit, which is required for a bachelor’s degree. After receiving their bachelor’s degree, a high percentage of LCU students continue advancing their education through the master’s and doctoral levels. Accepted transfer credits from previous universities and/or Bible institutes you have attended as well as Ministry Life Experience credits can greatly reduce the timeframe involved.
How much does it cost?
Our tuition is among the most reasonable in the world. The objective of the university is to provide the highest quality spiritual education possible at the most affordable price. The pay-as-you-go policy, (pay for each course as you take them) has eliminated the need for educational debt for thousands of graduates. Each course costs $160.Our approach is to provide the most affordable, quality, spiritual education that we can as a ministry to the Lord and to His servants.
