Dear flock,

Hello dear ones. I’ve been up early in prayer and seeking the Lord, and feel it would be prudent to cancel Sunday morning services for safety and preparation. It appears the storm has shifted inland and we need to be ready.

Our church will be a shelter for those in need in our flock and the families of our school and daycare, and the staff and volunteers need time to prepare. I don’t want to put anyone at undue risk on the roads, and it is also safest for our emergency professionals who may have their hands full.

As we shared in our glorious service Wednesday night, God will have His way in the midst of the storm. Stand firm in your covenant for His protection and be ready to minister to those around you. We are in a corridor of time where God’s judgments are meant to turn hard hearts toward repentance. We should be ready to help them find mercy through Jesus.

It is time not only to make preparation in the natural, but make sure you are spiritually right and in tune with the Lord. Don’t neglect so great a salvation!

God is yet able to turn this storm if men’s hearts will turn to Him. Yesterday in my Bible reading I came across this passage:

“Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters, They see the works of the LORD, And His wonders in the deep. For He commands and raises the stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea. They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end. Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, So that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, And praise Him in the company of the elders.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107:23-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My prayer is that the lost will seek and find Him, and that the saved will draw near to Him. Prepare your hearts to seek Him and be ready to give account for the hope that lies within you. You are God’s hands and feet, so be ready to reach out with His love and truth.

I love you dearly,
Pastor Doug
